The Story of my Life

"If I could wish for my life to be perfect,
it would be tempting, but I would have to decline,
for life would no longer teach me anything..."

Come What May

Posted by Claire |

Love this song. And I sing it for Jerome. I love you, hon. Thank you for loving me the way you do.

When he looks at me

I know the boy sees things nobody else can see

All of the secret fears inside

And all the craziness I hide

He looks into my soul and reads me like nobody can

And he doesn't judge the girl

He just takes me as I am

Come what may, he believes

And that faith is something I've never known before

Come what may, he loves me

And that love has helped me open a door

Making me love myself a little more

When I turn away

He knows those are the times there's nothing he can say

Nothing that anyone can do

And so he lets me live it through

And when I'm in my darkest hours of uncertainty

He just simply lets me be

And goes right on loving me

Come what may, he believes

And that faith is something I've never known before

Come what may, he loves me

And that love has helped me open a door

Making me love myself a little more

And when it seems my dreams have all slipped through my fingers

When they just can't be found I turn around, and there they are

Shining in his eyes

Come what may, he believes

And that faith is something

I've never known before

Come what may, he loves me

And that love has helped me open a door

Making me love myself a little more

Come what may, he believes

And that faith is something I've never known before

Come what may, he loves me

And that love has helped me open a door

A Feel Good Song

Posted by Claire |

This song makes my heart flutter whenever I hear it. Makes me grateful to have someone and be someone's someone.

Marry Me
by Train

Forever can never be long enough for me
To feel like I've had long enough with you
Forget the world now we won't let them see
But there's one thing left to do
Now that the weight has lifted
Love has surely shifted my way

Marry Me
Today and every day
Marry Me
If I ever get the nerve to say
Hello in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Together can never be close enough for me
To feel like I am close enough to you
You wear white and I'll wear out the words I love you
And you're beautiful
Now that the wait is over
And love and has finally shown her my way

Marry me
Today and every day
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Mm-hmm

Promise me
You'll always be
Happy by my side
I promise to
Sing to you
When all the music dies

And marry me
Today and everyday
Marry me
If I ever get the nerve to say hello in this cafe
Say you will
Mm-hmm
Say you will
Marry me
Mm-hmm

Taylor Swift Fever

Posted by Claire |

I'm not a concert-goer so it goes without saying that I missed Taylor Swift's concert last weekend. It's all over the radio though, how sulit the concert was and how enchanting she was that night. It should be! Ticket prices range from 500-12,750!

Anyway, since last weekend was a Taylor Swift weekend, I just listened to her songs and it seems a lot of them were written with a broken heart. tsk..tsk.. no wonder a lot of teenagers can relate to her songs. This one paticular song is about unrequitted love. Love the melody of this one...and her pretty face. :)

Teardrops on my guitar

Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see
That I want and I'm needing everything that we should be
I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about
And she's got everything that I have to live without
Drew talks to me, I laugh 'cause It's just so damn funny
That I can't even see anyone when he's with me
He says he's so in love, he's finally got it right
I wonder if he knows he's all I think about at night
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
Drew walks by me, can he tell that I can't breathe?
And there he goes, so perfectly
The kind of flawless I wish I could be
She'd better hold him tight, give him all her love
Look in those beautiful eyes and know she's lucky cause
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star
He's the song in the car I keep singing, don't know why I do
So I drive home alone, as I turn out the light
I'll put his picture down and maybe
Get some sleep tonight
He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar
The Only one who's got enough of me to break my heart
He's the song in the car I keep singing don't know why I do
He's the time taken up but there's never enough
And he's all that I need to fall into...
Drew looks at me, I fake a smile so he won't see.
