I rediscovered the goodness of Pomelo and other citrus fruits since I've gotten pregnant. And to this day, I make it a point to get a daily dose of either mandarin or pomelo, thereby making pomelo and mandarin a staple in our household.
Photo from: Dessert Comes First It was love at first taste. I'm not a big fan of cheescakes but this cheesecake blew me away the first time I tried it. Unlike other cheesecakes, that's all sweet and velvety, this cheesecake has the balance of both sweet and salty taste, plus crumbly texture! It's soooooooooooo yummy.
Try it for yourself. Order from The Cru Kitchen.
It is true, that when you're pregnant, your feet get bigger. At 5 3/4 months, I could hardly fit in in my size 5 shoe. Well, to put it more accurately, I still could get my feet in but it doesn't feel comfortable walking in them anymore.
So last weekend, while waiting for the husbo at Glorietta, I grabbed these pairs at Parfois.
Got a size 6 of this for P1,040. Not bad eh?
This one I got for P1,380.
Thanks, Gil, for introducing Parfois to me.

I’m a chicken lover. I love chicken more than beef, pork or fish. So to find a chicken dish that’s perfectly cooked, whether fried, roasted or braised, is love.
KFC is a good example of a perfectly cooked friend chicken. I love it’s flavorful and crispy skin. And I love how the chicken is cooked medium-well making its meat juicy and tender.
Of course, KFC chicken is not complete without its equally mouthwatering gravy. I love the thick peppery taste of their gravy. On very rare occasions that I eat rice, I spread the gravy on top of the rice like soup. Good thing gravy is unlimited.
As dessert, I love ordering macaroni salad. I was not a fan of macaroni salad until I tasted theirs. And I think, the only macaroni salad I eat is KFC’s and my mother-in-law’s. hehe
I’m hungry again.
Since I learned playing badminton I never wanted to stop, ever.
I started playing regularly in 2006 when I discovered that there was a club for badminton aficionados in the office. Since then, my regular badminton schedule was Tuesdays and alternating Fridays. The club also organized trainings which were perfect for newbies like me. I was so into badminton at that time that I was joining tournaments here and there, looking for other venues for my regular dose of badminton, and watching games of famous badminton players, whether live or on TV.
Starting last year, in an effort to lose weight in preparation for the Big Day, my badminton gig became more frequent. Aside from after-work-games on Tuesdays, I also play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. And if I have more energy, I would still play Monday evening. That’s how addicted I am, that’s how much I love the game.
This morning as I was on my way to my workstation after a fun game with my friends, I realized how much I’m going to miss badminton once I become pregnant. But then, maybe, when that happens I will love my baby more than I love badminton.
This photo was taken from the most recent tournament I participated in. (Story of that tourney in a different post)
Don’t get me wrong, though, I’m no Chef. Not even close. I’m still learning. I still get the taste wrong and I still refer to recipes when cooking. I guess I have to practice more or maybe enroll in a cooking class one of these days to improve my skill and acquire more cooking tips. It’s in the pipeline, actually, just haven’t decided which cuisine to prioritize.

This is me in action in our mini-kitchen taken by Mawee.
